Ebenezer Oromo Evangelical Church Facility Usage and rental Polices  

  1. This church is a SMOKE-FREE building, NO ALCHOL is ALLOWED and No Political gathering in the church building and its premises. 

  2. All groups or individual using/ renting will treat the EOEC facility courteously and with respect. No food or drink in the Sanctuary, Chapel or carpeted area.

  3. The group or individual using the facility is responsible for set up, clean up, and return to normal set up of the facility.

  4. All users or renters ordinarily will conduct their functions within allotted space and agreed time. 

  5. Any use of audio-visual equipment in the Sanctuary requires a member of the audio-visual team from Ebenezer Oromo Evangelical Church. 

  6. The audiovisual equipment will only be operated by a member of the audio-visual team. The audio equipment in the Fellowship Hall may be used without a member of the audio-visual team. This includes the use of the DVD player and up to two microphones. The use of additional audiovisual equipment, including the availability to use a computer and/or PowerPoint will require the use of a member of the audio-visual team or qualified staff member. 

  7.  If using the kitchen, please clean stoves, wash and dry all dishes used and return them to the correct cupboard. Take all extra food and beverage with you unless specific plans for usage have been made.

  8. Clean and wipe counters and leave kitchen clean and ready for the next use. 

  9. Sweep floors and mop as needed, dispose garbage (recyclables and other trashes) into their respective bins. 

  10. Report any damage to equipment or property promptly to the office. 

  11.  Remove any items put up on the walls or set out relating to your event.

  12. Any damage to equipment or facilities, other than from normal use, shall be the responsibility of those using or renting the facility. 

  13. If the building is not in use when finished, please check that all seven exterior doors are locked, windows are closed, and lights are off. Then lock up. Set the alarm if you are the last person leaving.

  14. All usage fees for the facilities and equipment are payable to Ebenezer Oromo Evangelical Church and delivered to the Administrator/secretary upon booking.  

  15. EOEC will not be responsible for personal items left in the building.

  16.  A damage deposit of $____.00 is required during reservation. Damage deposit will be returned to user/renter if the stuff determines that facilities are left in satisfactory condition.

  17. Indemnification: It is an express term of this agreement that the User/Renter indemnifies the Church for any costs or damages of any kind incurred by the Church, because of the usage of the facility by the User/Renter. 

  18. All reservation and arrangements must be made through the church administrator/secretary at least two weeks prior to the event and facility use/rent form must be filled and returned to the Administrator/ secretary of the church.

  19. Cancellation: A full refund will be given if cancellation notice has been given ____ weeks prior to the event. Anything less than ____ weeks’ notice, one-half (50%) of the payment will be refunded.

  20. The person/organization requesting the use of EOEC facilities hereby releases the church, its pastors, leadership, members, or people of any liability for personal injury to any individual resulting from the use of the church facilities and agrees to be responsible for any property damage that results during the use of the facilities. Please report any damage to the church office promptly.
